Ο Χριστόδουλος Παπαδόπουλος είναι Επίκουρος Καθηγητής Καρδιολογίας στο Τμήμα Ιατρικής στο Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης. Το 1998 διετέλεσε Research Fellow στο Rayne Institute του St. Thomas’s Hospital του Λονδίνου. Ολοκλήρωσε την ειδικότητα της Καρδιολογίας στην Α’ Πανεπιστημιακή Καρδιολογική Κλινική του Γ.Ν. ΑΧΕΠΑ και έλαβε τον τίτλο της ειδικότητας Καρδιολογίας το 2003. Ταυτόχρονα ξεκίνησε και ολοκλήρωσε την διδακτορική του διατριβή που αφορούσε στην μετεμφραγματική αναδιαμόρφωση της αριστεράς κοιλίας στην ίδια Κλινική. Το 2010 διετέλεσε Clinical Fellow στην Επεμβατική Καρδιολογία στο Northern General Hospital, University of Sheffield. Το 2014 διορίστηκε στην Γ’ Πανεπιστημιακή Καρδιολογική Κλινική του Γ.Ν. Ιπποκράτειου Θεσσαλονίκης όπου υπηρετεί έως σήμερα. Κύρια ενδιαφέροντά του αποτελούν η Επεμβατική Καρδιολογία, η Καρδιακή Ανεπάρκεια και η Θρόμβωση και είναι υπεύθυνος του Ιατρείου Καρδιακής Ανεπάρκειας, του Iατρείου Αθηροθρόμβωσης και του Iατρείου Ψηφιακής Καρδιολογίας. Έχει δημοσιεύσει περισσότερα από 78 άρθρα στο Pubmed (429 citations, h-factor 11). Επιβλέπει τέσσερις διδακτορικές διατριβές με κύρια εστίαση στην καρδιακή ανεπάρκεια και στην κολπική μαρμαρυγή. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολλές διεθνείς πολυκεντρικές μελέτες. Είναι Πρόεδρος της Εταιρείας Αθηροσκλήρωσης Βορείου Ελλάδος.

Christodoulos Papadopoulos is Assistant Professor of Cardiology in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He was involved in Basic Science Cardiology Research in Rayne’s Institute London in the late nineties. He completed his residency in Cardiology in AHEPA General Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece in 2003. He presented his PhD thesis on Postinfarction Left Ventricular Remodeling in 2008. He worked as an Interventional Cardiology Fellow in Northern General Hospital, University of Sheffield (2010). Since 2014 he joined Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – Faculty of Medicine – and works in the 3rd Cardiology Department, Hippokrateio University Hospital. His main interests include Interventional Cardiology, Heart Failure, Thrombosis and Digital Health. He has published more than 78 scientific papers indexed in Pubmed and Scopus (429 citations, hi 11). His present research projects include IV ferrum effect on arrhythmic burden in HFrEF patients and prognostic scores in Atrial Fibrillation population based on echo, biomarkers and CPET parameters. Future projects include development and implementation of ACS and PAF registries. He was finally involved in a large number of recent randomized clinical trials mainly in the field of heart failure and thrombosis. He is the President of Atheroslerosis Society of Northern Greece.
